Importance of color selection of the matrix
For an air cooled heat exchanger, the matrix is the part that dissipates the heat of the fluid. The state of the matrix greatly affects the heat exchange performance.
Especially when the heat exchanger is installed outside, it is directly affected by the sunlight. The color of the matrix is a very important factor.

The following shows the amount of infrared radiation by color and material.

As shown above, the black color of the asphalt absorbs 244 W/m2 of infrared radiation,
Stainless steel is only 16 W/m2.

For this reason, there is already a campaign to change the roof color to bright color in architecture.

It is this scientific background that led to the color selection of the HydroLync air cooled heat exchanger matrix as silver.

However, we also supply black products mainly for indoor use.
